We Need A Break

In the midst of our everyday hustle and bustle, we tend to forget that we need to rest. We always aim to be productive. We tend to forget how to be still and just relax. Some people have a tendency to over work and forget to take a break. At times we forget that we need a break from our daily routine. We need to recharge our battery. We even need a break from people that we normally talk to and see everyday. Sometimes we need to distance ourselves from them especially when they are becoming toxic for us.

Though we feel okay, we have no idea how much we needed a break. Not until someone invited us for a short getaway will we able to realize how much we needed it. 

Even for a day or two we have to take a break from our usual activity. We have to spend a day doing nothing. Doing nothing includes a complete rest and relaxation and not think about anything. We have to unwind at least once a year. We can go to a place where we feel secure or where we think we could spend a few days of just relaxing. We have to remind ourselves that there are other things that we can do aside from our daily activity. There are other places that we can go when things become overwhelming. And there are other people that could give us new insights about life. It could be a stranger or someone you haven't seen for a long time. Just by simply talking to them or hear their stories could warm our heart in some way. They are the ones who will make us realize how we tend to over complicate things sometimes. It's nice to be surrounded with people whom you can be just yourself. No judgment or anything.

A break from our normal routine could help us feel recharged. We need a day to just sit, relax, eat what we want, and do nothing. We need to distance ourselves from social media even just for a day. We need to put our phones down and talk to other people. It's best to go to a place where you can feel closer to nature, away from the city life. Find a place where you can just enjoy your surroundings. That somehow you're gonna forget all of your worries because you're too busy admiring all the beauty that surrounds you. Go to a place where your mind could shut off even for a bit. 

We don't have to feel burned out or exhausted to say that we needed a break. We need it more than we think we do. It's for our own sanity. Taking a break from our usual activity could make us feel refresh. We have to take care of our well being. Sometimes eating healthy and exercising aren't enough to say that we are healthy. Our mind and body need to rest as well so that we can also be mentally healthy. It's essential to maintain our physical and mental well being.  

A little break from usual daily activity is great. It's nice to go somewhere that we can feel refresh and recharge. And it's also good to talk to other people that would make us feel that life is still worth living. And of course it's best if we spend out rest day reconnecting with the Man above. He can give us peace that we crave most of the time.
