Time

Time is powerful. You cannot take it back once it's gone. You cannot make it stop. You cannot make it fast. It can never be recycled. It's up to you how you want to spend it. You can either waste it or make use of it, there's no in between.

Time dictates most of our daily activities. Time tells us when we are going to eat breakfast, lunch, snack or dinner. It tells if we're already past our bedtime or if we overslept. It also tells us when we are going to work or when we should leave. Without looking at the time we won't know what day, month or year we are in. Most of the time, we based what we do through time. Personally, I feel disoriented if I didn't know what time it is. When my day becomes so busy and I get to be too focused with what I'm doing that I don't have any idea what time it is already, it feels so strange. I feel like I'm lost.

Time is one of the most precious gifts you can give to someone. It's priceless. It's one of the simplest—yet complex at times—gifts you can give to the people you love. Just by giving even a portion of your time to people only means that they are important to you. Other people find time just to be with you despite their busy schedule. While there are some who can't even take just a second from their time to be with you. To think that we are all given 24 hours a day.

They say that time is the ultimate truth-teller. Time reveals some things that others denied at one point in their life. Sometimes people are afraid of judgments that's why they try to hide. Then eventually, they become dauntless enough to share what they've been hiding for so long. Eventually, they stopped caring what people would say. At the same time, you can't truly know a person unless you've spent some time together. Others are good at hiding their true color until time reveals who they really are.

Surely the saying, "Time heals all wounds" isn't new to you. But do you believe it? Honestly, I don't. You cannot be totally healed from something. For me, the pain will always be there. You'll just get used to the feeling of being hurt that's why you can say that you're already fine or you're healed. Even if many years have passed, you will find yourself still being hurt from the same things you thought you've already gotten over from.

Time is truly powerful. It seems to move fast when we're happy and it moves pretty slow when we're sad or we're waiting for something. Though in reality whatever we are feeling, we have 24 hours a day. No more, no less. The clock doesn't stop ticking even if we're miserable. It continues to move. It's okay to wallow in sadness for some time, but we shouldn't dwell on it for so long. Cause you can't get back the time that you've lost over being sad, frustrated or disappointed.

Indeed time is very important. It plays a huge part in our lives. We only give our time to what or who we think deserves it. Not a lot of things or people have an access to our time. Since we only have a limited amount of it, we are mindful of how we spend it. As much as possible, we don't want to waste any of it. So be careful how you spend your time. As I've said, it's very powerful. Once it's gone, you cannot recover any time you've already lost.

au revoir. 😊
