Sat With Ree: What If Perfection Didn't Exist

What if the idea of a perfect body, perfect face, perfect timing, perfect man/woman, perfect partner and perfect life didn't exist? How is life gonna be?

If perfection didn't exist, life would be a lot simple. There would be no comparison with others. No one's gonna see other's life better than theirs. People are only going to focus on their own life. Perhaps the saying, "The grass is always greener on the other side," won't make sense anymore. There wouldn't be any more pretense. People will be content with whatever they have and whoever they have in life. I think romantic relationships would have a lesser chance to end because couples will have smaller chance to cheat with their partner. They won't be looking for a perfect someone anymore, and only appreciate who they are with.

There would be a minimal chance of people judging others. Since perfect doesn't exist, there would be no basis or any standard that people think they should comply. Jealousy and insecurity won't exist.

People would be quick to act and grab any opportunity presented to them. They will no longer wait for a perfect time to do something.

Everyone would be contented with their appearance since the only standard they have to follow is the one they set for themselves. Not what the world sets for them. We would always see ourselves as more than enough. Most people would have the confidence to face the world. They won't hide themselves from others. They would be bold and brave to do the things they'd been wanting to do. Most importantly, people would see others as their equal. There won't be no comparison between who's the best and who's just an average.

If perfection didn't exist, people would've forgive more, understand more and love more.

On the downside, if perfection didn't exist people will only settle for an ordinary. They won't have any idea that things could still be better, they can be better. If the idea of a perfect body didn't exist, everyone will be plus-sized. So it would be a lot harder for people commuting, especially during train ride. Just kidding. ๐Ÿ˜„ People would no longer work hard and aim to have a perfect life.

We are accustomed with the mindset that perfection truly exist. Most people feel envious with others cause they think others have a perfect life, perfect body, perfect face, everything perfect. But in reality, perfection doesn't really exist. It is only a standard set by the world that we need not follow. It's only an idea.

Life isn't perfect and nobody is perfect. We are all human and we can't be perfect. We are all flawed in some ways. We all have our own shortcomings. That person who you thought has a perfect life surely still have something they want to achieve in their life, or there's something missing in their life. People only choose to show you what they want to. Some are good in putting up a great show. We don't have any idea what others need to sacrifice in order to achieve their "perfect" life.

We don't have to envy others who we think have a perfect life. We are all uniquely blessed with everything that we need. It only depends on us on how we use these blessings.

In the end it's always about fully embracing the life that we are handed. And of course, appreciating our own unique selves.

au revoir.๐Ÿ˜Š
