How To Stay Productive

Happy New Year, everyone. I can't believe we're already on the 7th day of the new year 2023. How has the year been going on for you, so far? I hope all is well. And if not, know that it won't be like that all throughout the year. I hope that you won't get discouraged just because the year didn't start good. You still have 358 days to go. It's up to you how you want to spend it. As long as God wakes you up every morning, you are given the chance to begin anew.

I know that most of us have already made a list of New Year's resolution. You might want to read about my blog on How To Achieve Your New Year's Resolution. I think you've already set your "To Do List" for this year. The question is, how are you going to stay productive to tick all those listed on your list?

  1. Focus. Focus on your goals. Do no not get sidetracked from the things that aren't part of your goals. Distractions are everywhere, and you won't achieve anything if you always let yourself to be easily distracted with things that aren't important.
  2. Stay Motivated. Unlike distractions, motivation isn't always there. You have to create it. You can't just stop doing something because you can't find any inspiration. If you keep that mindset, you won't accomplish anything. You have to push yourself to do your goal even on days that you don't feel like doing it. You have to be creative. Always remember to think outside the box. That's why it's important to do what you love. If you love what you do, you won't run out of ideas or creative ways. It will always be free-flowing.
  3. You can't always do it right the first time. All professionals started out as a rookie. No one knows everything. You can't know everything. Learning is a continuous process, and information is changing. You don't have to feel discourage just because you've done it wrong the first time. As I've said, every day is an opportunity to begin anew. And every day is another chance to try again. If you failed yesterday, you can try again today. Or tomorrow, or the day after tomorrow, or the day after the day tomorrow. As long as you keep on trying, there's still a chance for you. Taking baby steps isn't bad. If you decide to do something for the first time and you failed, it doesn't mean that it isn't for you. If you really want to pursue it, you would be willing to learn and try again no matter how many times you fail.
  4. Avoid comparison. Never ever compare yourself to others. Never think that others are better than you, or they do better than you. You're always going to feel like a failure everytime you do that. And you won't feel motivated anymore. Focus on your progress not on anyone else's.
  5. Rest. Take a break if you need to. Machines get tired at some point, and so do you. You need rest so that you can function properly. There's nothing wrong with taking a break. We all get tired. Your performance will be better if you are well rested. You are not in a competition with a st time limit.
  6. Pray. Above all else, ask God for His guidance, mercy, and wisdom. This is the most powerful weapon to accomplish anything that you desire to do. We have to put God first and seek His approval in anything that we do. Whatever we decide to do, only He has the power to help us. If we believe in His power, we can do anything. We only need to trust Him and tell Him all our plans. He will correct it if He needs to. He will also clear the path to where we are heading.

Whatever you goal for this year you can accomplish it if you are truly committed to it. But if you let distractions overpower you, you won't achieve anything. Never think that the grass is greener on the other side, just focus on your own garden. Never underestimate your capabilities. Keep pushing yourself to your limits, but don't forget to take a rest. Physical and mental health are important. It's okay even if your goals aren't accomplished with your set time frame. As long as you never give up in achieving your goals in life, you are never late. There's still time for you to succeed. You are not in competition with anyone. And don't forget to celebrate your victories, no matter how big or small. Even if it's just getting out of bed every morning, or pushing yourself to shower. And don't forget that being busy doesn't mean being productive. Most importantly, always begin whatever you do with prayer.

au revoir. 😊
