Movie Review: Look Both Ways

Starring: Lili Reinhart

Aisha Dee

Danny Ramirez

David Corenswet

Release Date: August 17, 2022

Look Both Ways is a story about Natalie Bennett (Lili Reinhart). It's not your typical romantic kind of film. If you've already watched '13 Going 30' this movie is similar to it in a way, but not totally.

Natalie had just graduated from her college and already has her life planned in the next five years.lll Then something happened during their graduation party. She was presented with two different scenarios. One was her following and pursuing her 5-year plans that include moving to Los Angeles with her bestfriend, Cara (Aisha Dee). The other one was her unexpectedly entering into a motherhood only right after her graduation.

I loved how this movie was greatly curated. You don't always see movies where you get to witness two totally different plots, usually there is only one. This movie showed the best (and even worst) of both worlds, hence the title. Either you're a Team Gabe (Danny Ramirez) or Team Jake (David Corenswet), you both win.

Whichever path you want to take, either you want to be a career woman or you've undergone a major change in your life, this movie is for you. This movie shows that even if you've reached one of your major goals in life, it isn't always all unicorns and rainbows. It wouldn't be as easy as you thought it would be. This movie also shows the importance of having a support system especially during the times that you think you can't go on anymore with your life, or when everything seems to be falling apart. And at the same time, the importance of having someone who you want to share your good news with.

Look Both Ways also proves that you can plan your life, but it wouldn't be as smooth as you thought it's going to be. It won't happen just like how you envisioned it. There is always going to be mishaps along the way. The important thing is that you know that you can always get back again at your feet. You might think that your life is a total mess, or that you're a failure, but you can still rise again. You can always pick up the pieces and make your life whole again.

This movie will make you realize that life doesn't end even when all of our plans fail. Know that there is always time to begin again despite all the setbacks that you encounter. All you have to do is be willing to be bold to start again and know what your true passion is.

Look Both Ways will inspire you to reach for your dreams and to never stop believing in yourself.

I am giving this movie a rating of 5/5.
