Sat With Ree: 20 Bible Verses That Inspire Me To Do Good And To Feel Good

Ecclesiastes 3:1

This Bible verse is one of my favorites. It says that there is always the right time for everything—His own perfect time. We all have our own different timeline. We sometimes feel left-out because someone we know has already accomplished great things and yet we are stuck at where we are. But that should not discourage us to pursue our dreams or lose hope. Who knows tomorrow might be the day when our dreams will finally come true. There is really a perfect time for everything. And that enough should keep us going and look forward to another day. God's timing is everything. 

Hebrews 11:1

There are really times when we feel hopeless because God doesn't answer our prayer yet. But we should always have faith in Him and trust Him wholeheartedly. He will never fail us. All we need to do is wait for His perfect time because He knows what He is doing. Having faith means that we know everything will work out in the end even though it is stormy now we have confidence that the sun will rise again tomorrow.

Ecclesiastes 3:11

I love this Bible verse so much especially the line “He has made everything beautiful in its time." We should always trust Him. Let us not rush the things that we want to last forever. We should not underestimate His power over us. He has already done great things so we should not question His capabilities. 

Proverbs 19:21

Na-realize ko na pwede ko naman talaga planuhin yong mga gusto kong mangyari sa buhay pero si Lord yong mag-de-decide kung matutupad ba yong mga bagay na pinlano ko. Tanging kagustohan Niya ang masusunod at hindi yong sa akin. Siya ang higit na may alam kung ano ba talaga ang purpose ko sa life at doon Niya ako dadalhin. At kung saan Niya ako dadalhin ay alam kong hindi ako mapapahamak.

James 1:13

This Bible verse taught/still teaching me not to give-in to temptations. There are certain things that I can't resist sometimes that's why I tend to do those things even though I know it's wrong. But through this verse it helps me to become more disciplined. 

Matthew 6:34

Dapat mag-focus muna sa mga pangyayari ngayon. Huwag munang isipin ang bukas. Hayaan na lang natin si Lord kasi for sure naman na hindi Niya tayo pababayaan. Madalas kasi iniisip ko yong future ko. Tipong "paano kapag ganito?" "anong gagawin ko?" Mali pala iyon. Dapat magtiwala ako sa Diyos na hindi Niya ako pababayaan at Siya ang bahala sa akin kasi Siya ang higit na may alam. 

1 Corinthians 10:31

Gawin mong inspiration si Lord sa lahat ng ginagawa mo para sa lahat ng pagkakataon ang gagawin lang natin ay kung ano ang tama at kung ano mabuti. Kapag iniaalay natin Kay Lord ang lahat ng ginagawa natin siguradong magtatagumpay tayo sa lahat ng gusto nating makamtan. 

Romans 8:31 

Noong mga panahong may pinagdadaanan ako itong Bible verse na ito ang lagi kong inaalala. Noong mga panahon na feeling ko it's just me against the world dito ako kumapit. Palaging ito yong iniisip ko kapag sobrang bigat na nong dinadala ko. Ito yong naging "weapon" ko para maka survive ako araw-araw noong mga panahon na iyon. 

Colossians 3:23

Kapag feeling mo walang nakaka-appreciate sa ginagawa mo huwag mong isipin na ginagawa mo yon para i-please ang ibang tao. Ang isipin mo ay ginagawa mo ang isang bagay kasi iyon ang dapat. As long as ikatutuwa ni Lord yong ginagawa mo hindi mo kailangan ng approval o appreciation ng ibang tao at magkakaroon ka ng motivation na gawin ang bagay na sa umpisa ay wala kang ganang gawin. 

Philippians 4:6

May mga pagkakataon na hindi maiiwasan na magkaroon ng anxiety lalo na sa panahong ito na may pandemya. Ang pinakamabisa talagang sandata ay ang dasal. Nabanggit daw sa bible ang mga salitang "fear not" ng 365 times parang katumbas ng 365 days na hindi tayo dapat matakot. Andiyan Siya at hindi Niya tayo pababayaan. Sa lahat ng pagkakataon, kailangan nating magdasal. Let's make it a habit to always talk to God not only when we have something to ask for but also to thank Him for everything that He is doing for us no matter how big or small. 

1 John 4:18

Gusto ko 'tong Bible verse na 'to simply because ang cheezy lang. Yon lang. Parang because of this nakaka-inspire magmahal. Charing. Ang mindset ko kasi dati ayokong magmahal kasi takot akong masaktan. Pero nang dahil dito..........ayon. 😊

Philippians 2:3 

This verse reminds me to always be humble. There comes a time when I think highly of myself. Sometimes I think I am better than someone just because I know something that he/she doesn't. Through this verse it made me realize that I am not better than anyone. This bible verse also reminds me to always be kind to everyone because I am not better than them. We are all equal in the eyes of God. No one is better than anyone.

Proverbs 27:1

A lot of times I always anticipate what's going to happen next instead of focusing on what is happening now. This bible verse perfectly suits me because this reminds me that tomorrow is never promised. Let us just focus on today since this is all we have. 

Proverbs 3:5-6

Totoo naman na sa lahat ng oras ay dapat magtiwala tayo sa Diyos. There are times when we are so proud of ourself and think that we can do anything on our own. But that is a big mistake because without God we can't do anything. We should always ask His guidance and His approval before we start to do something or decide on something so that we will succeed in everything that we're about to do. He will make sure that the paths that we're about to take is safe and secure and that it will be the path to success. 

1 Peter 5:7

I love this Bible verse because as I said earlier there are times when anxiety tends to kick in on me. Madalas lagi akong nag-aalala sa mga bagay na hindi ko naman dapat inaalala. Overthinker kasi ako. Pero nang dahil sa verse na ito medyo nababawasan na kahit paano yong mga pangamba ko. Sa mga panahon na natatakot ako nagdadasal ako sa Kaniya at ibinibigay ko sa Kaniya yong mga takot na nararamdaman ko. Effective naman siya. Prayer is truly powerful.

Matthew 19:26

This Bible verse also gives me hope that anything is possible with God. Though there are times na nawawalan na ako ng pag-asa sa life alam kong andiyan Siya palagi para gawing posible ang mga bagay na sa tingin ko ay imposible nang mangyari. Only He has the power to turn the negative into positive and vice versa.

Isaiah 60:22

I love this verse so much because it makes me look forward to the day when my dreams will finally turn into a reality. This gives me hope that one day all of my dreams will come true not in my own timeline but in His. Ang sabi nga ni Lola Nidora lahat ng bagay ay nangyayari sa "Tamang Panahon." I just need to be patient and trust His timing. 

Proverbs 17:22

This bible verse is my constant reminder to always have a happy heart. Dapat pala iwasan ko na yong pagiging "emo" ko. May nabasa ako na isa daw sa mga criteria para maging Saint eh kailangan masayahin. Hindi ko naman inaambisyon na maging Saint but my point is as a child of God dapat palaging masaya lang yong puso. Being grateful is one of the things needed to have a cheerful heart. If you are grateful it means that you are contented and if you are contented it means that you are happy. 

Matthew 6:19

May pagka "impulsive buyer" kasi ako. Especially now with the easy access on different e-commerce sites tapos buwan-buwan pa may SALE. Kapag na-te-tempt ako na bumili ng mga bagay na hindi ko naman talaga kailangan iniisip ko palagi itong Bible verse na ito. Effective naman siya kaso syempre minsan talaga nagiging marupok ako. But I'm slowly getting there...

Exodus 14:14

This Bible verse is applicable in times when we don't know what to do anymore. We should always hold on to His promise that He will save us because He is our only saviour. He will always be there for us in times of trouble and distress. He will never leave us. We don't need to worry. All we have to do is pray and believe that He will help us get through everything whatever we are facing right now. He is the only certain is this world that is full of uncertainties.

"Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord."
