Sat With Ree: Jab We'll Done

Image
Surprisingly, I had my 2nd dose of anti-covid vaccine earlier than I was expecting. It happened last Monday, November 22. If you want to read about what happened during my first dose just click this.  I already expected a long line and a lot of people in the vaccination site, so I wasn't surprised when I got there. It was crowded. It felt like I went to school for an enrolment because there are really a lot of children there with their own chaperone.  I went there at almost two in the afternoon. The good thing is that there are designated lines for children, for those who will be having their first dose, and for second dose. There were only 3 people in the line for the second dose when I got there.  Unlike during my first dose where I didn't wait that long, this time the waiting took me three hours to get my second dose vaccine. Fortunately, there was a waiting area outside and it wasn't raining, but it was the hottest time of the day. I had my blood pressure checked before

Sat With Ree: Is It Your Heart Or Is It Your Mind?

In a battle between your heart and your mind, where do you usually listen? In your mind that says, "try again, who knows maybe this time," or in your heart that whispers, "enough, I've already felt too much." Sometimes what we want and what we're supposed to do are two entirely different things. That's usually when the war between our heart and our mind begin. Personally, I always listen to my heart when it comes to making an important decision in my life. I don't know how to justify this, but maybe it's part of being an overthinker. I know it sounds ironic, but I just thought it is. When it comes to making a not so important decision in my life, I listen to my mind, like when I need to decide what I'm going to wear in a certain occasion. But in terms of choosing a place to eat, of course I always tend to follow my heart. Because a happy tummy leads to a happy heart. Yeah, whatever. 😏 I think those who always use their brain to make an impor

Sat With Ree: My DIY Storage Box

Image
Ever since I was a kid I really love doing DIY items. When I was in elementary I used to make a DIY album. It was made of a wrapping paper which was cut into equal size, then I will fold each one of them into half, put them altogether, and then staple it in the middle. Then bam—a DIY photo album. I probably inherit my love for DIYs from my father. He also loved to make DIYs when he was still alive. When he was still working as a seaman, he used to make a hammock made out of ropes then he brought it home. It's probably his past time in the ship. During his vacation, he also make DIY items in our house when he's got nothing to do.  My love for doing arts and crafts blossomed when I was in high school. I loved it everytime we have a project that involved arts and crafts in TLE and in Arts. I really learned a lot about DIY from our TLE class that I can still use up until today, like making a box out of a plain cardboard.  Since I have a lot of free time these days, creating DIY stu

Sat With Ree: National ID

Image
Last Saturday, October 30 together with my mother and other siblings, we got the chance to register for our National ID.  I tried registering online a couple of times already, but everytime I was about to set the schedule it always says that there are no slots available. In the news they said that their priority is registration through LGUs, so we ask for a form to fill up from the barangay hall. After filling up the form, we submit it again at the barangay hall. It only took us 2 days then we already have a schedule.  We have 3 registration sites here in Batangas City. One is at SM, then the other one is at the Office of the City Veterinary and Agricultural Services, and the newest one where we had our National ID regitered is located at Waltermart, Batangas. We went there at almost 3:00 in the afternoon. When we got there the line wasn't that long. It only took us less than two hours to register.  You need a valid ID in the registration. Aside from of course your picture and your
