My 5 Current Favorite Songs
As a music lover I have a lot of favorite songs. Some were already old but once I hear it again and understand the lyrics it will then be added to the list of my favorites. There are also some that I just heard for the first time but then I find the lyrics saying a lot more about me or my feelings. On the other hand, there are also some that I just heard for the first time and I instantly liked it so I have to play it countless times that I almost memorize the lyrics and ended up being too fed up with the song.
Here is the list of some of my current favorite songs (in no particular order), that no matter how many times I listened to it the impact remains the same.
1. Big Girls Don't Cry by Fergie
Since I first heard this song, this one instantly became my favorite. Just by the title that really got me even without understanding first its lyrics. Being too sensitive and excessively emotional this song is a great reminder everytime I'm about to cry. "It's time to be a big girl now and big girls don't cry." Everytime I was about to cry or when I was already crying but then I thought of this song, this somehow stopped me from the sobs and tears that I was about to lose.
2. Broken Strings by James Morrison feat. Nelly Furtado
I don't know what it is in this song that made me think that it was written especially for me. That was my first thought when I first heard this song through its music video. Just when I didn't see the video often that I realized I'm already addicted to this song. It's kinda bit late but the good thing is there are websites where we can instantly download mp3's. Thanks to the advancement of technology.
3. Holy Grail by Jay Z Feat. Justin Timberlake
I don't even know why I like this song. But I really do. It was just recently that I accidentally played it on Spotify while I was looking for other songs to listen. Since then I listened to it for countless times because I love the melody.
4. Not A Bad Thing by Justine Timberlake
I also heard this song for the first time when I saw its music video. I find the lyrics very appealing but it's not yet my favorite back then but when I downloaded new songs I included this. And so I listened to it and only then that I understood the lyrics. Because it's quite different if you only saw the music video, some parts of the lyrics were not sung on the video. Since then I became truly addicted to this song. I absolutely love the lyrics. It's not a bad thing to fall in love with me, after all. LOL.
5. Lost Stars by Adam Levine
2. Broken Strings by James Morrison feat. Nelly Furtado
Oh it tears me up
I try to hold on, but it hurts too much
I try to forgive, but it's not enough to make it all okay
You can't play on broken strings
You can't feel anything that your heart don't want to feel
I can't tell you something that ain't real
Oh the truth hurts
And lies worse
How can I give anymore
When I love you a little less than before
3. Holy Grail by Jay Z Feat. Justin Timberlake
One day you screaming you love me loud
The next day you're so cold
One day you're here, one day you're there, one day you care
You're so unfair
This song is perfect if you want to be on a "senti" mode and you're looking for a perfect background music I highly recommend this one. This is really perfect to listen to when I'm about to sleep at night and I want to listen to some mellow music. After listening to this song a bunch of times this became also one of my favorites. And I even liked this more when I watched the movie Begin Again, wherein this served as the OST. There was a scene in the movie where Adam Levine emotionally sang this song at his concert and Keira Knightly came but then also left afterwards, I almost cried while watching that. I truly love that part as much as I loved this song.
And those were only five of my favorite songs. I wanted to put all my favorite but the list goes on and on and on and on. LOL
